As the Treasurer and an active member of the Rotaract Club of NITT-RockCity which is affiliated to the Rotary International, I organized several events during my undergraduate degree at NIT Tiruchirappalli.

Blood donation camp

Every year, we organize a blood donation camp in August. Usually, more than hundred students volunteer to donate making these camps very successful.

Festecole

It is a biennial inter-school cultural competition for the school students in Tiruchirappalli and Tanjavur hosted by the Rotaract-club.

Horizons

In my senior year, I headed the entire event which was an inter-departmental cultural competition for second years at NIT Trichy. It has a number of events with a mix of literature, music, theatre, arts and dance competitions.

Mock All India Engineering Entrance Examination

The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), was an examination organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India. Introduced in the year 2002, this national level competitive test is for admission to various under-graduate engineering and architecture courses in institutes accepting the AIEEE score, mainly 30 National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and 5 Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs).The examination was generally held on the last Sunday of April and results are announced in the last week of May or the first week of June. Candidates are ranked on an all-India basis and state basis. Thus, they have an All India Rank (AIR) and a State Rank (SR). We organized mock AIEEE for aspiring NITTians in over five cities in Tamil Nadu, India.

Rem Book

This is an american equivalent of a year book but it is issued only once at the completion of the undergraduate life at NIT Trichy. I had to organize with my team, the collection and the editing of a memoir for each and every student in the senior year at NIT Trichy which was more than 800 students.

Sports Fete

It is the annual inter-departmental sports festival of NIT Trichy. Organized by the Sports Committee and Rotaract Club, Sports fete saw an amazing participation of over 2000 students in its 4 days of events. From the cross country marathon to the Girls football, 100+ events and 13 Departments sweat it out. Winners of this years edition were the Computer Science Engg dept.

Petals For Charity

This is a fun event usually conducted a week before Valentines day, where the students buy and dedicate a letter with a rose of a chosen color, where each color has its own significance to another student usually of the opposite gender. The money obtained from this event was saved for donating to charity.

NITTFEST is the ruthless and unforgiving annual inter-departmental cultural competition of NITT. I organized several events in NITTFEST'12 during my junior year of college, as the entire competition is organized by the juniors. In my senior year, I led the department of mechanical engineering with over five students in NITTFEST'13. We came sixth among the twelve departments that participated equaling the all-time best performance of the department and we also got the all time highest points at the competition. There were more than 60 events in the competition including variety of events in arts, music, dance, theatre, comedy, cooking and general stage entertainment events requiring creativity. It was a test of my managerial and organizational skills, especially motivating my peers was a daunting task and challenged my interpersonal and communicational abilities. In Pragyan'11, the annual international techno-management event at NIT Trichy, I organized robotics events such as Rocky Mountain, Copy Cat and Sky Dive. In Synergy'12, the annual technical symposium hosted by the department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Trichy I co-organized the robot soccer which was an infotainment event where, the audience could play robot soccer with small mobile robots against each others. I had a lot of fun organizing and learnt the art of negotiating and effective management.
